This is a very heartbreaking story for those that are baseball fans, Kansas City Royals fans, or even just fans of loving people and life. But, this story is not worthy of a news post. It could potentially be local news in Kansas City, but this story isn't worthy of a post, maybe not even on any news station. Volquez is a professional baseball player which is fantastic and is a great thing to aspire to do, but he is just like the rest of us ordinary people.
If someone in a person living in Smalltown, U.S.A. dies we would not hear about it. Yes, yes, it is understandable that this could be potentially newsworthy because he is playing in the World Series, but once again, he is just a normal person. Volquez should be treated like everyone else. This is very sad news but once again WDRB, not newsworthy.
